I've spent quite a bit of time recently thinking about the people we often forget when someone dies, the people supporting the bereaved. It's not easy seeing someone that you care about struggling through grief's difficult emotions and being unable to take the pain away from them. Not to mention that the death can force changes within your life, even having never met the person that died.
I decided to write this article to acknowledge the emotions and challenges that people in this situation may face.
