Counselling Directory have been kind enough to publish this article I wrote on grief after a medical termination.
It wasn't an easy article to write, as it's a tricky subject to squeeze into a limited amount of words. There are so many reasons why parents may have to opt for a medical termination, and even more ways that they may react to it. None of them easy, none of them a situation anyone wants to find themselves in.
Over the years I've come across people facing this loss a few times, it's one that is easily dismissed by people that don't understand, but can be incredibly complex for the parents responsible for making that impossible choice.
